What

The Courtois Cardiovascular Signature Program

This ground-breaking study in understanding cardiovascular disease is mapping participants’ blood, genomes and biomes, and imaging their hearts and carotid arteries to understand how and why cardiovascular disease develops. With this knowledge, we can ensure fewer Canadians are affected by heart disease.

How

This ground-breaking study in understanding cardiovascular disease is mapping participants’ blood, genomes and biomes, and imaging their hearts and carotid arteries to understand how and why cardiovascular disease develops.

The Courtois Cardiovascular Signature Program funded by the MUHC Foundation, is following thousands of patients over ten years to answer questions like:

  1. What defines a healthy heart?

  2. Why are healthy individuals developing heart disease?

  3. What are the early markers of cardiovascular disease?

Let’s Fix Broken Hearts.
