The PINK Softball Tournament 2024 raises $75K to strike out breast cancer!

This weekend, 18 teams took to the field to play softball for a great cause. Organized annually by the Dorval-based cancer awareness and fundraising group, The PINK, this event raises funds for the MUHC Foundation in support of the MUHC's Breast Clinic Wellness Program. This year, the event raised $75,000 to strike out breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the stands, and donated!

What began as an idea in 2016, inspired by co-founder Kathy Kennedy's personal experience with cancer, has blossomed into something truly extraordinary. Kathy, along with her friends, started this charity softball tournament to raise funds for lifesaving breast cancer research and care at the MUHC. Every year, the event brings joy, camaraderie, and competition to the MUHC community, and it’s all for a great cause.

The challenge is simple: each player asks 10 friends for $10. Over time, the event has grown to include additional attractions such as concessions and raffles, further boosting community involvement and support.

While the event has evolved, the message remains the same: even seemingly small actions create meaningful change when we work together.

The MUHC Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to the 18 incredible teams that participated this year, as well as to Kathy, Maureen, and the entire volunteer committee.  Together, we are helping breast cancer patients not just survive but thrive, and working towards a world where cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.

Donations are being accepted until the end of October, click here to learn more:  https://bit.ly/4cwUu0K
