Marie-Hélène Laramée named President and CEO of the MUHC Foundation

The MUHC Foundation moves into the final leg of its $200M Dream Big fundraising campaign under new president.

Montreal, August 24, 2023—Marc P. Tellier, Chair of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation board of directors is pleased to announce that Marie-Hélène Laramée has been appointed the new President and CEO of the MUHC Foundation. Laramée joins the foundation on October 2, 2023, from Centraide, where she was Vice-President, Philanthropic Development.

Laramée brings a decade of experience working in philanthropy, beginning as Director of Corporate Partnerships at the Jewish General Hospital Foundation in 2013 and becoming Director, Major Donors and Individual Giving at Centraide before taking on her current role as Vice-President, Philanthropic Development. During her time at Centraide, she worked to strengthen the social fabric of Greater Montreal in the fight against poverty and social exclusion.

A mechanical engineer by training, Laramée graduated with distinction from McGill University. She enjoyed a 15-year career as an aeronautical engineer at CAE, the world leader in flight simulation and training, before shifting to philanthropy.

At Centraide, Laramée vastly increased fundraising revenues, raising millions of dollars to reduce poverty and uplift Montrealers in need. The MUHC Foundation looks forward to working alongside her to advance health care and continue in our mission to change the course of lives and medicine.

Laramée’s leadership role at the MUHC Foundation is the culmination of a career involving scientific and philanthropic pursuits.
